New York City Accident Report: September 14, 2018

School Bus Accident Outside of Bronx School

On September 6, a crash occurred outside of a Bronx elementary school involving an out-of-control car and a school bus. According to a witness, a silver car was seen doing donuts in the middle of the street and hit two cars in the process. The car then slammed into a school bus before slamming into a light pole. Seven people were injured in the accident, including the bus driver, no students were injured. The reported injuries were minor. According to police, the driver of the vehicle was unlicensed and a summons was issued.

Three People Are Injured In Crash Onto NYC Sidewalk

Late last month, an accident occurred during rush hour traffic in Manhattan that resulted in three people being injured. According to witnesses, a chain reaction crash occurred involving a black SUV. The force of the crash caused the vehicle to jump the curb of East 31st Street and Third Avenue and smash into a pole. Three people were injured including two people who were inside the SUV and a woman on the sidewalk who was struck by a garbage can that flew into the air when hit by another vehicle. All of the injuries that were sustained are non-life-threatening. All the drivers remained at the scene of the accident.

Fatal Car Accident At A Long Island Gas Station

Police are still investigating a car crash that occurred in the early morning hours on Wednesday, September 12 which resulted in the deaths of two young fathers. Around 2 o’clock in the morning, the driver of a 2013 Audi crashed into a Sunoco gas station at Veterans Memorial Highway and Jericho Turnpike. The vehicle caught fire trapping the two occupants inside. The crash caused the steel structure above the gas pumps to collapse. Police are still investigating the accident. The cause is still not known but police say that there was a lot of fog that night which could have contributed to the accident.
